Noctrix Health - Designing a breakthrough wearable for RLS.

Restless Leg Syndrome affects over 25 million adults in the US, with many experiencing worsening symptoms despite medication. level partnered with Noctrix to design Nidra, a prescription-grade, non-pharmaceutical wearable that alleviates symptoms through targeted neurostimulation. The soft, form-fitting band delivers discreet therapy, fitting naturally into users’ nightly routines for comfort and efficacy.

Noctrix’s early prototype was bulky and uncomfortable, so we reimagined the device by distributing electronics around the leg to allow flexibility. We ensured precise electrode placement to target the tibial nerve, crucial for therapy effectiveness. Collaborative prototyping with clinicians and patients refined usability, making the device simple, intuitive, and supportive for all users.

Noctrix incorporates replaceable hydrogel patches, easy controls, LED indicators, and advanced textiles for overnight comfort. Designed with input from neuroscientists and engineers, it balances stretch, structure, and usability. Before FDA approval, Noctrix received Breakthrough Device Designation, backed by over 10,000 nights of clinical data. Noctrix has shown that 91% of users experience symptom relief, marking a transformative step forward in the treatment of RLS.
