SUM is on a mission to help people live healthier lives on a healthier planet by rethinking how beverages are delivered and consumed. Their science-backed hydration system reduces reliance on single-use plastics through innovative refill models. We partnered with SUM to design their flagship hydration station for public, high-traffic environments.

Built from recycled sheet metal, the beverage fountain is strong, simple, and easily manufacturable. Its robust yet lightweight design minimizes environmental impact from production through installation and daily wear in high traffic environments. With a compact footprint and flowing silhouette, the station integrates smoothly into gyms, campuses, and transit hubs - blending durability with a friendly, approachable presence.

SUM’s recyclable flavor cartridges and NFC-enabled interface support fast servicing and intuitive use. The clean, screen-free design encourages interaction without distraction. Every detail - from cartridge access to water flow - was engineered for simplicity and sustainability. Together, we created a system that supports daily use and long-term impact, transforming hydration through better design.
